Is Britney Spears Engaged?
While Britney Spears has not officially announced her engagement to boyfriend Sam Asghari, photographs of her wearing what appears to be a diamond engagement ring have sparked a blaze of rumors to the effect that the pop music star is engaged.
The photograph above from Britney Instagram account shows the happy couple hanging out and as you can see, it’s just enough of a prompt to get her followers to start asking when they’re going to get married.
Shortly thereafter, Britney was seen wearing a bright yellow bikini and what appears to be a solitaire style engagement ring on the ring finger of her left hand. As near as we can tell, Britney’s ring looks similar to the classic solitaire engagement ring by Brian Gavin.
If that’s the case, then it will be pretty easy for guys to present their girlfriends with an engagement ring inspired by Britney Spears. Of course, the photographs of Britney Spears wearing her “engagement ring” on the beach in Hawaii aren’t all that great and thus we can’t tell for sure what the ring looks like.
How Big is Britney Spears’ Diamond Engagement Ring:
If Britney Spears is engaged, everybody is going to want to know the carat weight of the diamond. Once again, it is extremely difficult to ascertain carat weight from a photograph, but based on the relationship between the diameter of the flash of white that represents the size of the diamond and the ratio to her finger, we’re making an educated guess that it’s between 1.50 – 2.00 carats.
With that in mind, we’ll use this 1.768 carat, F-color, VS-2 clarity, Black by Brian Gavin hearts and arrows diamond as a point of reference. This diamond measures 7.73 X 7.76 X 4.80 millimeters, which gives it an average outside diameter of 7.745 mm.
The average diameter of the eraser on a standard #2 yellow pencil is around 6.50 millimeters, which is about the size of a one carat round super ideal cut diamond. Based on that understanding, the ratio of the diameter of the diamond on Britney's finger seems about right.
