Brian Gavin and Lesley Harris Attend a Customer’s Wedding …

This past weekend Lesley and I were invited to attend the wedding of one of our customers who lives out of town. The groom became our customer when he was looking for a reputable diamond expert to help him with his diamond engagement ring purchase, and while networking with his peers, was introduced to me. In addition to having very fine taste, being a doctor, he is a scientific man. Not only did he want to purchase a 2 carat plus high color, clarity princess cut diamond, but through his research, he understood that my crown/pavilion combinations would deliver the perfect optical balance he was seeking.

I sold him one of the last of the AGS0 light performance A Cut Above princess cuts that I had recently supervised – a 2.12 F VVS1 Ideal Cut Princess cut set into a custom designed platinum pave setting with a euro shank. His bride had given him very definite guidelines regarding the setting and her groom wanted to make sure to delight her and exceed her expectations. We e-mailed him the diamond images and the CAD images for his approval prior to casting the ring and then followed up with several pictures of the finished engagement ring. The ceremony was held outdoors in a beautiful garden filled with flowers and was followed by an elegant dinner dance featuring haute cuisine and wonderful live music.
