Brian Gavin Creates Magnificent Platinum Trellis 3 Stone Diamond Anniversary Ring…
In the middle of August we received this e-mail from a local Houston customer:
…I have been reading the most wonderful things about you on pricescope and hope that you can help me. I have been on the search for my dream 20th anniversary ring and am just not having luck finding it. I really didn't want to go the route of custom for a number of reasons but believe this is the only way I will get what I'm looking for. I want a 3 stone ring with a center stone approximately 1.6 carats, side stones approximately .8 carats, all AGS ideal cut. I am looking for all 3 stones to be F color, VS2 clarity but would consider E and/or VS1 also. Probably the hardest thing for me to describe is the setting because I'm not really sure what it is called. I want the 3 diamonds to be mounted very close together so that it looks like all 3 diamonds are the focus not just the center stone if that makes sense. I want the stones to have platinum single claw prongs (again I think that's what it is called). From a top view I would like for it to look like there is nothing there except the 3 stones and the claw prongs and the metal that actually goes around my finger…
We e-mailed her different diamond combinations from our Brian Gavin Signature hearts and arrows diamond inventory and she came into our offices with her husband to meet with Brian and feast her eyes on all the beautiful diamond options. She ended up selecting a 1.7ct center stone with two .90ct side stones, and a custom created 3 stone trellis ring in platinum. We kept her involved every step of the way by sending her the CAD renderings to approve and then the wax print images. She came back into the office to try on the wax and make sure that we were on track. Needless to say, she was thrilled with the finished product:

The diamonds look incredible in every light – even under the bad fluorescent lighting in my office. I'm still getting used to wearing such an incredible piece of jewelry!
