Brian Gavin Creates Spectacular Custom Rose Gold and Platinum Engagement Ring and Matching Diamond Band…
Steve contacted us a few months ago to begin discussions about the engagement ring and matching band that he wanted us to create for him. He knew that he wanted a 2 carat + Brian Gavin Signature diamond and that the engagement ring would be created in rose gold and platinum.
He flew in to meet with us here at BGD to view our Signature diamonds and was very explicit as to what he wanted for the design of the ring. He had approached several other vendors who said that what he wanted would be very difficult to execute, and most did not work in rose gold.
He purchased a magnificent 2.35 J VS2 Brian Gavin Signature Blue and we set about creating the engagement ring using CAD. We emailed him the CAD renditions and then tweaked the fine details he wanted. The setting was a custom 14kt rose gold engagement ring with a platinum head featuring graduated diamonds using .10ct, .15ct and .20ct F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature hearts and arrows melee with a euroshank and hand milgrain finish. The diamond band featured a euroshank with 7 x 0.18 ct F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature hearts and arrows melee and a surprise blue topaz on inside of the shank.
Initial reaction – I can't even begin to describe to y'all how absolutely blown away I am at these rings. I'm still in the process of getting over the sheer size of the engagement ring, and when worn together they look absolutely amazing. I can't believe how shiny the rose and platinum are as well, and the weight, the precision, etc… just blown away.
