Christian and Anna’s Iceland Proposal
Our customer, Christian, voyaged on an elaborate trip to Iceland to celebrate his anniversary with Anna, the woman he would soon ask to be his wife. Christian had all of the components of a perfect proposal: the magical scenery, the meaningful date and the beautiful soon-to-be bride. All he needed was the right engagement ring — that's where Brian Gavin Diamonds came in.
After extensive research to find the best diamond retailer, Christian discovered Brian Gavin Diamonds. Our team enjoyed taking him through each step of the process and educating him on the types of diamonds and ring styles. After much deliberation, Christian selected a 0.67ct Hearts and Arrows Brian Gavin Blue diamond on a platinum Melissa setting.
With the proposal right around the corner, our team had 10 days to create the ring and ship it across the Atlantic Ocean to the United Kingdom before the proposal. "I was kept informed through the entire process with the ring leaving the States on Monday evening, U.S. time, and in my hands by 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning," says Christian. "This was truly amazing!"
With a vast Icelandic backdrop, Christian got down on one knee — Anna didn't hesitate to say "yes." The fluorescence of the Brian Gavin Blue diamond even complemented the proposal by reflecting fiery blue hues of the landscape.
Both Christian and Anna were impressed with the brilliance of her new ring. "I cannot recommend Brian Gavin's team enough for all the support and effort they put in helping me to create a custom ring in the way I wished for," he says.
We were elated to work with Christian and are honored to be part of his and Anna's marriage.
We received the below email from Christian after his proposal and look forward to working with him and his fiancée to create their wedding bands in the future.
Hi Catherine,
I just wanted to write to you once again and express my personal gratitude for all your help. The ring arrived on time as you promised to me and it was absolutely brilliant, looked more impressive than I thought.
I proposed to Anna on Saturday in Iceland and thankfully she said yes. She loved the diamond and she can't stop looking at it. Despite my initial reservations of going for a diamond with fluorescence, I can now admit that I was wrong. It looked so fiery and fierce and the Icelandic background made it look really cool and strong; cold with beautiful combinations of blue and red-yellow which was perfect for the local theme of fire and ice.
I am sending you some photos of how happy she was to show it off!
Cheers,
Christian
