In a Galaxy Not So Far Away: A Force Awakens Between Corey Beth & Brandon
For many couples, the stars have to align for a magical proposal, but for Corey Beth and Brandon, it was the inspiration from "a galaxy far, far away" that brought them together. While visiting the location of one of their favorite movie scenes (from Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Brandon asked Corey Beth to marry him with an out of this world proposal that absolutely blew her away.
These two lovebirds are both from Galveston, Texas, and grew up together attending the same schools with the same group of mutual friends, but somehow neither of them ever crossed paths. With the help of a dating app, Corey Beth and Brandon finally met at a coffee shop and talked for hours until the coffee shop closed for the night. Knowing that their bond was special, the couple fell in love quickly and got engaged after seven months.
The couple planned a trip to Ireland, and as huge Star Wars fans, they both wanted to venture to Skellig Michael—home to the famous scene between Luke and Rey in the most recent Star Wars movie. Due to the overcast and inclement weather that day, Brandon was anxious that his plan to propose on this infamous mountain might be squashed. However, all his worries washed away as they went on their way.
After a winding hike to the top of the mountain, it was time for Brandon to ask Corey Beth the most important question of his life. Their original plan was to reenact a scene that took place on the edge, which gave Brandon the perfect excuse to set up his tripod and capture their special moment. Right before they finished, Brandon got on one knee and Corey Beth immediately said YES! In true Ireland fashion, they celebrated this huge milestone with two pints of Guinness.
To begin their life together, Brandon wanted to choose an engagement ring that captured his and Corey Beth's unique relationship. He first consulted Brian Gavin Diamonds on his budget and style preference, then met with the Brian Gavin Diamonds team, who took the time to walk Brandon through all the different diamonds and styles to ensure he chose the perfect ring for Corey Beth. At the end of his search, Brandon chose a beautiful three stone style ring featuring a Crossed Trellis and an 18K white gold band.
From the entire team at Brian Gavin Diamonds we wish this couple all the best and hope the force is always strong with them! We can't wait to see where their love story goes from here.
