Joshua and Cara’s Stunning NYC Proposal
One of the best parts of working at Brian Gavin Diamonds is hearing about the deep and important relationships of each customer. We, like you, get a chance to fall head over heels for something. Each day we come to work, we're enamored by the love stories of our customers. In the case of Cara and Joshua's proposal, we couldn't help but smile and cheer them on from the other side of the country.
Joshua approached us last year to look for the perfect ring to surprise his girlfriend Cara with on their trip to New York City. He planned an extravagant yet intimate proposal in the Big Apple—go big or go home, right? The two would travel all the way from Australia to New York City to see the ball drop on New Year's Eve. Before Josh could execute the big day and wow Cara, he needed a ring. That's where we came in.
Joshua worked with Lesley and our team to select an irresistible classic style knife edge platinum band with a 1.426 J VS2 Brian Gavin Diamonds Signature round diamond. He even added a simple and meaningful "C & J" engraving on the inside of the platinum band. Our team then shipped the ring to New York City and waited for Joshua's plan to play out.
Josh reserved a beautiful room at NoMo SoHo with large glass windows overlooking the skyline. The pristine whites juxtaposed next to the city's hustle and bustle merged beautifully. On a table set for two, surrounded by candles and floral arrangements, there were photos of Cara and Joshua taken throughout their relationship. Oh, and did we mention a violinist? The two were serenaded as Joshua got on one knee. As you can imagine, Cara said "yes!"

I proposed to my beautiful partner Cara on our trip to NY over Christmas, I feel so lucky to have her as part of my life. I would like to thank Lesley for all her help with our ring, she was amazing and made this all possible.
